Used Gibson Les Paul Triumph Bass In Case Circa 1971

Circa 1971 Gibson Les Paul Triumph Bass. Les Paul ended his association with Gibson shortly after the original Les paul guitars were replaced with the SG shape in the early 60's. After players like Eric Clapton, Michael Bloomfield and Jimmy Page revived interest in the original 50s Les Pauls during the mid sixties, Gibson renewed their partnership with Les Paul. The first new Les Paul electrics were released in 1968. Over the next few years,Gibson released a range of instruments showcasing Les Paul's innovative ideas. Among them was this Les Paul "Triumph" bass featuring ahead-of-it's-time, switchable, Low and High impedance circuitry. with bass and treble controls.

This bass is in really nice vintage cond including the extremely hard to find, purple interior hard case. This bass features the same Honduras Mahogany 'sandwich' body construction and three piece neck as the famous Les Paul Deluxe of the same period. The 301/2" short scale neck is a breeze to get around on and the range of sounds available will be sure to inspire. A seldom seen classic.
