The Aquila AQ15U Nylgut Tenor Ukulele String Set in Low G is neither common Nylon or Carbon (Flurocarbon fishing line or PVDF), or a mix of them. It is a plastic compound of three different components. Compared to Nylon, the AQ15U Nylgut Tenor Ukulele String Set produces a better sound and stays in tune better, a feature the Derringers Music team love. This is because the moisture absorption is less than 0.1% against the 2.0% of Nylon normally employed for the musical strings.
Due to the higher density, similar to that of pure gut (1.30 gr/cm3), the AQ15U Nylgut Tenor Ukulele String Set produces a better sound than Nylon and it is not so metallic like those of the so-called ‘Carbon’ (Fluorocarbon) PVDF strings. In other words, the AQ15U Nylgut is probably the first genuine synthetic gut in the world.

When will my order ship?
Items will be shipped on the same day for orders received before midday on business days. Otherwise, the order will shipped on the next business day. Availabilty of products is updated on our website every 10 minutes.
Do you have free shipping?
Yes, free Shipping is provided for all orders in Australia where the total cost is above $250. For orders under $250 a flat rate shipping fee of $15 will be added at checkout. Note: Free shipping cannot be provided for some remote and rural areas of Australia. Due to TNT introducing new charges on heavy items, we now have a flat $65 shipping fee for items that exceed 30kg in cubic weight or actual weight.
